Technology & documentation

Built on established rescue principles.

The construction, testing and regulatory basis for Thermosaver — and the documents behind it.

The Banak principles

Thermosaver applies three layers in a fixed order, each with one task.

  1. 01

    Moisture barrier

Closest to the casualty. Designed to reduce heat loss caused by evaporation from wet clothing and skin.

  2. 02

    Insulation

The middle layer limits conductive and convective heat loss.

  3. 03

    Outer protection

Water-repellent and windproof outer material shields the system against weather.

Materials and construction

Exact materials, dimensions, weight and load information are given in the current product data sheet. We publish these figures from the data sheet only, to avoid confusing total lifting capacity, test load and capacity per handle.

Testing

Testing referenced in the product documentation includes EN 1865 (patient handling equipment used in road ambulances). Contact us for the scope of testing for your version.

Regulatory information

Thermosaver is classified by the manufacturer as a Class I medical device under the EU Medical Device Regulation (EU) 2017/745. CE marking is affixed under the manufacturer's own declaration of conformity.
